Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
For us, corporate social responsibility comes down to three things: the environment, our community, and our people.
The label and packaging industry has real environmental questions to answer, and we'd rather be part of the answer than dodge it. In practice that means giving clients sustainable, eco-friendly labelling options and holding ourselves to recognised standards, not just talking a good game.
Closer to home, we're finding our place in the community. Our partnership with Aylesbury United Football Club is where we've started, and it won't be the last thing we do.
And none of it works without the people who make the labels. We want Xpress to be somewhere people are paid fairly and looked after, the kind of place they're in no hurry to leave. Look after the team, and the rest tends to follow.
Sedex provides Xpress Labels with access to platforms where we can effectively provide our customers with confidence that Xpress Labels is the right partner, both for high quality labels and to support their drive towards an ethical and sustainable supply chain and manage our suppliers and collaborate on sustainability initiatives.
Environmental Responsibility
We're set on improving our own environmental performance and helping our customers improve theirs. That runs through the choices we make on materials, inks, energy and waste.
We're raising recycled content across our label ranges, moving to lower-impact inks and varnishes, and looking hard at every stage of how we work. Read more here.
Where customers need it for their own carbon reporting, we can provide Scope 3 emissions data.
Our label and foil waste doesn't go to landfill. It's collected by our recycling partner, Cawleys, and diverted for energy recovery, keeping it out of landfill and putting the resources back into use.
Our label and foil waste is handled by Cawleys, whose zero-to-landfill service diverts it
for energy recovery.
