Xpress Labels staff recently dedicated their time to support Youth Concern in Aylesbury by clearing building materials and weeds to restore a much-needed garden space. Youth Concern, an independent charity, provides crucial services for young people aged 13-25 in Aylesbury Vale, including emotional support, a youth food bank, counselling, and homelessness prevention. The charity has seen a 64% increase in demand for its services this year, highlighting the importance of its work in the community.
Xpress Labels, a printed label manufacturer based in the town, has committed to a long-term partnership with Youth Concern, not only by volunteering their time but also by engaging in fundraising events to help the charity upgrade its essential resources. This partnership aims to enhance the support Youth Concern offers to vulnerable young people in the area.
Gratitude from Youth Concern
Hannah Asquith, CEO of Youth Concern, expressed her gratitude for the efforts of the Xpress Labels team, noting the significant impact their work had on restoring the garden space. David Ross, Managing Director of Xpress Labels, emphasised the company’s pleasure in contributing to the community and hoped that the restored garden would be enjoyed by staff, volunteers, and visitors alike.
Youth Concern’s services are vital, especially given the increased challenges faced by young people in Aylesbury, such as higher levels of mental health issues, financial vulnerability, and risks of homelessness. The charity’s flexible and responsive approach aims to meet individual needs at a pace suitable for each young person, ensuring they receive the support they require in a non-judgmental environment.
